The warrior queens of Egypt
Egyptian warrior queens were Ahotep, and Arsinoe II & III, and all those who were descendants of the Royal House of Kush. They ruled Egypt and commanded their armies and naval fleets during the era of Roman civilization. In regards to Ahotep, as proof of the high consideration in which she was held, her son Ahmosis said of her, in his stele of Karnak: “The one who performed the rites and took care of Egypt. She watched over her troops and protected them. She brought back her fugitives and gathered her deserters. She pacified Upper Egypt and drove out the rebels. "
Nubian warrior queens
One of the greatest warrior queens of antiquity was Majaji, who ruled the ethnic group of Lovedu who was part of theKushite Empire during the long centuries when the Kushites were in war against Rome. The Empire ceased to exist in 350 AD when Meroe, the center of power of Kush, fell after the numerous assaults of the Romans. Armed with a shield and a spear, Majaji commanded his warriors in battles. She would have fallen in the city of Meroe which she defended until death.
