Hannibal Barca (in Phoenician Hanni-baal means "who has the favor of Baal" and Barca, "lightning"), generally called Annibal or Hannibal, born in 247 BC. AD in Carthage (northeast of present-day Tunis in Tunisia) and died by suicide in 183 BC.
