Ingredients
- 3 cups of rice, preferably flavored rice
- 200 ml of vegetable oil or peanut oil
- 500g beef, cut into cubes
- 1 big onion, chopped
- 2 tablespoons mustard
- 4 garlic cloves, chopped
- 2 bay leaves
- 2 cubes maggi
- 1 carrot, peeled and cut
- 2 potatoes, peeled and cut
- 2 pumpkin coins
- ½ green cabbage, cut into pieces

- Salt and black pepper
- 1,5 liter of water
Prep time
- Season the meat with a cube of broth, salt and black pepper.
- Heat the vegetable oil in a large pot and brown the meat for a few minutes.
- Add the mustard, onion, garlic, black pepper, stock cube and 2 bay leaves. another 5 minutes (or until you have a thick sauce).
- Add 1,5 liters of water and all the vegetables. Cook until the vegetables are cooked (about 40 minutes).
- Remove the vegetables and the reserves, then add the rice that has been washed well and salt to your liking. Cook the rice over low heat until the rice is ready. Turn the rice often to prevent it from burning.
- When it's ready, serve with the vegetables and bon appétit.
