Lhis film tells the story of a man who is shot in the back by a policeman. Oscar Grant, 22, is a black American living near San Francisco. He is the father of a four-year-old girl and the companion, not very faithful, of Sophina. A small marijuana dealer who has spent a few months behind bars, he is trying, as the New Year approaches and its share of good resolutions, to get back on the right track. On December 31, 2009, Oscar celebrates his mother's birthday with the whole family.
