Lhe matriarchy preceded the patriarchy in the gathering and hunting societies, then in those of breeding with the mother goddess. This system would not be based on sex discrimination, but on the importance given to the feminine, the woman embodying the reproduction of the species and its hope of sustainability in a temporal dimension which was not linear as it became with patriarchy, but cyclical. Black African societies are matriarchal and Western societies are patriarchal. The return to matriarchy in Africa is a solution for the rebalancing of our societies in need of benchmarks.
