Merita or Tamert is the traditional name for the continent known today as Africa. It is still used today by traditional societies across the continent. It is a traditional Medu (hieroglyphics) of the word which when translated means Meri - Aimé and Tah - Terrain (our beloved land).
Kemet was the global civilization that preserved the land and its people for over 100000 years before modern colonial systems took over. Today Kemet is mistakenly as the territory of the Nile Valley. Traditionally, the Nile Valley was the capital of the great Kemetic civilization.
The Kemetic civilization spread throughout the world: The continent of Merita, the Americas, Australia and territories of China, India and parts of Europe were all referred to as Kemet due to their allegiance to the original civilization.
The earth center promotes and preserves traditional Kemetic culture and empowers humanity with the knowledge of our common unifying indigenous roots.
It becomes very necessary to exclude the term Africa which is currently assigned to the continent (also known as the cradle of civilization).
It is very clear in examining the history of the world that the colonizers of the world have made it a priority to devalue the African continent in any way they can. In all modern religions people of color are demonized. In Christianity, they are believed to be the descendants of the only cursed son of Israel, Ham. In Islam, they are referred to as slaves. To continue the legitimization of demonization and genocide that the colonial world ruled on Africa and the people of the extended color world of the fathers of this system gave the continent Merita the name Africa, which is a (hieroglyphics) word Medu which when translated means Afri - to burn Ka soul (Land of Fiery Souls). In our liberation from the image of our motherland, the cradle of civilization, it is important that we move away from the African period.
