UUsed for centuries by Berber women to regenerate their skin, strengthen their hair and protect themselves from the sun and the wind, argan oil is slowly carving out a place among Western beauty products.
Exceptionally rich in omega-6 essential fatty acids, vitamin E and polyphenols, argan oil is full of highly hydrating, antioxidant and regenerative properties. Studies carried out in Morocco and in Europe have confirmed that it acts against dryness and physiological aging of the skin (anti-wrinkle) by restoring the hydrolipidic film and increasing the nutrient supply of the cells.
In the traditional Moroccan pharmacopoeia, argan oil is used for body care aimed at countering the harmful effects of age and climate as well as to treat skin irritations such as acne, eczema, chapped skin in pregnant women, burns, sunburn, psoriasis and chickenpox. Athletes also use it to relieve muscle pain.
