THEhistory of African women in politics is a rich narrative, filled with obstacles overcome and victories achieved. These courageous women challenged gender stereotypes, broke down cultural and social barriers, and paved the way for women's more meaningful participation in political leadership.
Their rise to the top of political leadership has not been without challenges. Yet, with determination and perseverance, they succeeded in changing the political landscape of their respective countries, and by extension, of the African continent as a whole.
