Its story begins in a small village in southern Nepal. He comes from an extremely poor family of nine children. His mother, Maya Davy remembers that at the age of eight he already wanted to become a monk.
At thirteen, he left to study in India in a monastery, his family had no news of him until the day he was found meditating in the heart of a forest, under a giant tree, a banyan tree. . Unperturbed, he will sit for eleven months in the lotus position without eating or drinking, it makes you wonder if he is really human. One night, we even witness an incredible event. Footage was shot by a pilgrim and shows the young teenager in his monk's robe on fire, and appears unresponsive to the burning flames.
And then another twist, in March 2006 suddenly he disappears. The faithful disrupted the deserted place, a sinister atmosphere emerges. Maya Davy, Little Buddha's mother, is suddenly alone and drags her sadness. Every day she comes to meditate at the place where her son was sitting. The Little Buddha will reappear mysteriously some time later, after coming out of his meditation. From now on, he would give advice to pilgrims in order to preach the good word.
