THEEid al-Adha (in Arabic عيد الأضحى, "feast of sacrifice") or Aīd al-Kabīr (العيد الكبير "the great feast" as opposed to Eid al-Fitr called eid el-seghir, or little eid), is the most important holiday of Islam. She is called tabaski in West and Central African countries (Chad, Cameroon) with a large Muslim community. It takes place on the 10th of the month of dhou al-hijja, the last month of the Muslim calendar, after waqfat Arafa, or station on Mount Arafat and marks each year the end of hajj.
THEEid al-Adha is named the tabaski in Senegal (1) and in other French-speaking West African countries (Guinea, Mali, Côte d'Ivoire, Benin, Burkina Faso, Togo, Niger, Cameroon) and for example in Nigeria. In North Africa it is called Tafaska Maghreb tradition Amazigh while other Berbers, Arabic, use the Arabic name. In Turkey, he is called Feast of Sacrifice and in the Balkans, Kurban Bajram.
In French, the term is also used sheep Festival.
