Born in 1939 in Gagnoa, Ivory Coast, Grobli Zirignon was sent as a scholarship holder (1952) to France where he completed his secondary and higher education.
After a degree in philosophy at the University of Caen, he went to Paris-Sorbonne where he enrolled in Masters. He presented himself unsuccessfully for the aggregation of philosophy, moreover more interested in his “initiation” to psychoanalysis undertaken in 1965 after having discovered Freud through his writings.
It was at the end of his psychoanalysis that the desire came to him to try his hand at painting, to repair his deficiencies as an African child who did not go to nursery school.
His passion for painting and his first works attracted the attention of connoisseurs who allowed him to participate in the annual fairs of the Society of French Artists and the International Society of Fine Arts at the Grand Palais des Champs-Elysées (1975,76,77 , XNUMX).
