Amma, creator god, omnipotent and immaterial, launches the planetary system, earthen balls transformed into stars that women, subsequently, will pick up in heaven to give them to their children. They will pierce them with a spindle and make these luminous tops spin until weariness. Amma makes the sun-female, the moon-male, and the earth, a loaf of clay which he has squeezed in his hand and which, in space, spreads out, gains in the North, stretches out in the South, s 'extends to East and West, stretches its flesh, separates its limbs, as a fetus would do in the womb. The earth becomes a woman, flat on her back, oriented North-South.
Amma, the creator God, “father” of creatures, wants to unite with mother earth, represented by the egg of the world made up of a double placenta, to generate beings destined to promote her creation. Fertilized by Amma's word, the first beings are created. Two androgynous twins, one of whom is a rebellion against paternal authority and the other a “savior”. Put to death then resuscitated, this savior, Nommo, reorganizes by his own sacrifice the world disturbed by the actions of his brother-enemy Yorougou, the fox. Yorougou is the first to appear in the world, emerging from the original placenta without the permission of his father Amma, taking with him in the primordial darkness a piece of placenta which will be our earth, and on which appear the graphic symbols, that is - that is, “words in power” 2. Amma cannot take back this “stolen” word, still silent. The footprints of foxes are visible signs of this, and their mute language requires interpretation, translation into human words through divination.
Nommo finally descends on earth with an ark which carries the first men, as well as all the animals and plants destined to populate the universe. The ark is the placenta, and the "chain of descent" the umbilical cord: if the father's word is the one that fecundates, that of the mother is the one who conceives; it is that which brings out the vegetation from the ground.
To create the world, Amma put a part of her strength in everything. In Amma's body were the signs, the placenta contains the world; the placenta is the cultivated land, which produces human life; the perfect form of the placenta is the egg, the image of fullness closed in on itself; it can be represented in the form of an oblong table covered with signs, called “belly of all the signs of the world”, the center of which is the umbilicus and which in total forms the two hundred and sixty-six ”signs of Amma “. Finally, "the complete signs of the world give everything color, shape, material". The word of the earth, "unformulated", was found as graphic symbols in the placenta. These allow us to understand creation, because "we know the root, the principle, the essence, of things in their form, their material, their color".
This amounts to saying that signs, manifestations of creative thought, existed before things and that they determined them. The mechanism of creation through graphic design includes "fixed" signs which give life to "mobile" signs, which bring things into existence. To draw is to make you begin to be, and thereby mark the first step towards destruction. The sign is an effective means of acting on the future: the execution of spellings promotes the existence of the thing represented, republishes it by making it go through the successive stages of its formation. The material used to form these spellings has a value in itself, even in the color it implies.
Amma maintains the whole, he drew the plan of the world himself and of its extension, he drew the universe before creating it. The drawing testifies to the genesis of the thing it represents: it realizes it, brings it to its end. We say: ”The sign that we write is the good to come.
