THEone of the paradoxes that have long paralyzed African philosophy (written in French, English, Portuguese-speaking, German-speaking, Arabic, or even in endogenous languages since at least the first half of the 20th century), it is not to have been sufficiently studied in the world, not even within the African continent, where one was entitled to expect a relatively consistent reception work. Especially since this philosophy is today the subject of more numerous and important works (theses, monographs, dictionaries, evaluation of concepts… Conferences, teachings, Bibliographies). For the accounting and statistics of this work, the reader can refer to our Classificatory and selective bibliography of works of African philosophy and Egyptology (Harmattan, 2011). Yet, despite the magnitude of this work, it has long remained in a position of confidentiality.
2-The other difficulty, and not the least, was the approximation and the weakness with which one carved somehow its object and the internal articulations which punctuated it, without firmly defining its terms, methods, concepts, and great controversies, nor even endeavoring to determine with rigor the criterriology which would permit the exhaustive enumeration of the periods which punctuate the movement.
