Che book tells the story of an Amerindian shaman and his apprentices in Africa, accompanied by two shamans, to learn about traditional African knowledge. The group is faced with the political and economic realities of a country in upheaval. The trials follow one another for each of them, allowing them to discover shamanic rituals and the harshness of life in a poor country. Through their adventures, three visions of the world confront each other:
- The Native American vision of a shaman from the United States arriving in Africa for the first time
- That of the African healer and the Dagaras villagers
- Western vision of European and American apprentices.
A shamanic initiation: The ambiguous adventure of a Native American shaman and his apprentices in Africa
