Amy Mazama is Afro-Guadeloupean. After brilliant studies in France, she decided to settle in the USA, a country in which she taught in the African studies department at Temple University in Philadelphia. Author of numerous books, she is one of the pillars of the Afrocentrist school of thought whose philosophy is inspired by that of Cheikh Anta Diop the Senegalese scholar.
