Lhe monument of Yonaguni (与 那 国 島 海底 地形 / 遺跡, Yonaguni-jima kaitei chikei / iseki ?, literally "underwater relief / remains of Yonaguni-jima") was discovered during a survey in 1985 by a diving tour operator underwater, Kihachiro Aratake in the clear waters of Arakawa Point, at the southern tip of Yonaguni Island in the Japanese Ryūkyū Archipelago. This huge stone structure which appears to be megalithic is provided with immense terraces interrupted by very large angular steps and very large walls with a smooth appearance. The structure is more or less 75 meters long and 25 meters high. It will take at least ten years for the media to report the discovery.
Ruins in the ocean challenge the point of view on human history
Studies show that scientists currently believe that Earth was born 4.6 billion years ago. Pre-Hispanic primates did not appear before the Pleistocene era, in the Quaternary Cenozoic, ie the Ice Age, about 1.8 million years ago. Based on the study of fossils, some scientists think that social activities and culture did not emerge before the Holocene, there are nearly 12000 years, during the decline and the end of the last age glacial. So, during the next 7000 years, these crops apparently would not have evolved further and would have remained in the Stone Age. Traces of writings and symbols appeared for the first time almost 5000 years ago. We refer to the era before this time as in the prehistoric period.
