Patrice Tognifodé is an inventor of Beninese nationality. Based in France, he is a professor and engineer of mechanical engineering, but also inventor of a pluvio-electric power station (CENTRATOG) which makes it possible to produce electricity from rainwater. Patrice Tognifodé claims that his device can store theelectricity by collecting rainwater and running continuously; which is the basis of the debate on energy conservation.
It was while going to Benin in 2001 for his father's funeral that Patrice Tognifodé was struck by the numerous power cuts (power cuts) suffered by his country. Back in Benin in 2008, he noticed that the power cuts are still numerous. It was on the basis of this observation that Patrice Tognifodé decided to design an alternative system of electricity production in Benin. In 2009, he patented his invention with the European Patent Office (EPO) under number 09010102.3 / EP09010102.
