Drinking water in Africa and elsewhere is life! Thanks to the Millennium Development Goals set up by the United Nations, about 2,3 billion people since 1990 have been able to gain sustainable access to this vital resource. But despite all these undeniable progress, significant inequalities remain. In Africa alone, according to UNICEF, individuals spend 40 billion hours each year walking to bring home drinking water back home.
