Akon created the ”Akon Lighting Africa“, a solar academy to give light to 600 million Africans. The singer confirmed the creation of this academy this week. The initiative of the Akon Lighting Africa is to create in Mali, by next summer, a "solar academy". This center, the first of its kind on the African continent, will be open to all Africans wishing to invest in the solar sector through professional training. Akon has created "Akon Lighting Africa" and will provide 600 million Africans with light. The creation of the solar academy will be made with the support of Solektra international and European experts who will provide the equipment and ensure the training program.
