In the poorly insulated little recording studio at the back of theand cleaner open space, Cleng'a Ng'atigwa, one of the five co-founders of this Tanzanian start-up specializing in the production of cartoons, records the last lines of Mama Ndege, a bird with green plumage and laughing air, while three animators 3D people are busy behind their computers. In two days, a new episode ofUbongo Kids will be broadcast on TBC1, the Tanzanian public television channel.
Released for the first time in January 2014, Ubongo Kids is the first animated series "Created from scratch in Tanzania by Tanzanian animators". Its educational content, focused on mathematics and science, showcases the adventures of three children in an imaginary world where animals speak.
