D’Egyptian inspiration, it brings together several rather heterogeneous parts. This capital text is usually known as “Kore Kosmou”, (or Minerva Mundi in Latin), the best translation of which seems to be the “virgin of the world”. In this cosmogony, the Egyptian goddess Isis reveals to her son Horus what the role of Hermes was in the genesis of the world and of the gods, the creation of souls, the birth of the zodiac and the stars, the origin of beings living, the fault of souls and their incorporation into the body of men, the formation of the Earth, the crimes of humans, the promise of renewal.
